Brexit Deadlock: Who's Truly Offending Whom in the UK?

The Brexit deadlock refers to the ongoing conflict between the will of the British people, who voted to leave the European Union, and the British Parliament, which has struggled to implement a mutually agreeable exit strategy. Basically, 17.4 million British citizens voted in a 52 per cent majority to LEAVE the European Union. We could think that democracy was in the making and that the will of the people would be granted. However, Parliament, consisting of the House of Commons and the House of Lords, didn’t (and still don’t) see eye-to-eye with the people. This situation has led to significant uncertainty in the British economy, impacting property prices, multinational company headquarters, and potentially expanding rifts between races, cultures, and genders in the UK. The definition of BREXIT means Britain exiting the European Union, a strategic locomotion that has left half the world watching in freeze-frame, waiting for the train to move out of the station to who-knows-where, while the other half gawking over how ridiculous the Brits look.
