US Work Visas: Trump EO Expired, Embassy Services Remain Limited
Trump’s Executive Order restricting certain work visas (H1B, H-4, H2B, L-1, L-2, J-1) expired on April 1, 2021, allowing USCIS to process these non-immigrant visas. They are resuming services on a post-by-post basis, prioritizing US citizens, with no specific date for full routine service resumption.
